  1. CLEVELAND CAVALIERS (13-3)

The Cleveland Cavaliers are just toying with teams. Kevin Love went off for 90 points against the Trail Blazers and Kyrie Irving, Kevin Love, and LeBron James combined for 90 points against the Sixers. Cavaliers also became the first team in NBA history to score 20 3-pointers in consecutive games.

  1. GOLDEN STATE WARRIORS (16-2)

The Warriors are coming together nicely as they rank No. 2 in the league in blocked shots and No. 7 in defensive efficiency. Adding on to that, the Warriors have won 11 games in a row. Kevin Durant and Stephen Curry are averaging 27.1 and 26.6 points per game respectively with Durant having an outstanding 57% field goal percentage. Warriors are obviously a championship contender and a favorite to win the NBA championship.

  1. SAN ANTONIO SPURS (14-4)

The Spurs became the fifth team in NBA history to go 10-0 on the road. They are also quietly the second seed in the West right behind Golden State. Although they are off to a great start to the season, Gregg Popovich (coach) was not satisfied with their performance with their win against the Mavericks. They distribute the ball well and are cruising behind superstar Kawhi Leonard and emerging star Jonathon Simmons. In the post season is where the Spurs will become a dangerous team to play.

  1. LOS ANGELES CLIPPERS (14-5)

The Clippers started the season almost impossible to beat with a 14-2 record. Since then, they have lost 3 games in a row. Star Clippers seem to be struggling as they suffered their first double digit losses of the season. After their loss to the Pacers, the Clippers are looking like the old Clips, advancing to the post season to lose in the first or second round.

  1. TORONTO RAPTORS (11-6)

Superstar DeMar DeRozan has brought back the mid-range game, averaging 29.2 points per game to start off the season. However, the Raptors seem fragile with a fallen off defense. Over a five game road trip, the Raptors finished 3-2 with a narrow victory in Milwaukee. Raptors are considered the second best team in the East and a mighty playoff contender for the Cleveland Cavaliers.
